Allan W Pruss, PE, PS is founder, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Monument Engineering Group Associates, INC. (MEGA). Mr. Pruss is a 1991/92 graduate (Bachelor of Science Civil Engineering/ Bachelor of Science Land Surveying) from Michigan Technological University in Houghton, MI. Mr. Pruss has over 19 years of professional experience in site development in both the public and private sectors. He began his career as a summer intern with Mavis Engineering, Sterling Heights, MI in 1986. Allan also interned at Testing Engineers Consultants (TEC) in 1988.
After graduation Allan's first full time job was with SSOE for one year then with Professional Engineering Associates, Inc. (PEA) until late 2008. Mr. Pruss gained a variety of experience in both engineering and surveying, in the field and office at all his assignments. Allan spent 13 years in the Michigan Army National Guard achieving the rank of sergeant, serving a 15 month deployment to Iraq. Sgt. Pruss successfully lead numerous combat missions during his deployment before being honorably discharged in late 2005.
After returning from Iraq and suffering a service connected disability, Mr. Pruss founded Monument Engineering Group Associates, INC. in December, 2008. This uniquely positions MEGA as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) for pursuing Federal Contracting. Mr. Pruss is responsible for the daily operations of the firm, staff, management and direction of the firm. Being both a Professional Engineer and Surveyor allows Allan to bring a unique perspective to projects and added value to clients.
